Day 5 and finally get to see my new bike, it looked beautiful shiny blue and red. The firm brookes leather saddle looked a little daunting, no give at all.
Hubby was now suffering with a man cold so was unable to join me on my test ride, so i was sent off with a set of directions for a short 7 mile ride. The bike rolled along smoothly with no effort at all through small villages.i suddenly realised id done 6 miles and didnot sem to be on my way back. Id been enjoying my ride so much i hadnt looked at the directions. It required some double backing so by the time id returned to the bike shop id done 13 miles!
At least Inow knew my bike wasnt quite right as i had some knee pain.Steve adjusted the seat height for me and i was to return the following day for a longer ride.so i farewelled my new bike and we set off for our bed and breakfast. Wed opted for parsonage farm at over stowey from the list given by Thorns.A real welcoming bed and breakfast with tea served in a sunspot in the garden.
Wed had a generous pub lunch in Bridgewater at the friendly Tudor Inn so were happy to settle for an evening snack before relaxing in our warm picturesque bedroom and hubby could be given lemon and honey drinks whilst tucked up in bed.Amazing selection of organic herbal teas all supplied.
