A bus service runs from Trier to Koblenz which will pick your bike up aswell

Plenty of circular routes for this section including Rhine and Saur

Navigation well signposted once past first few days.

German regional trains very easy to use, no need to use hooks , you can leave luggage on bike and just strap bike to side of carriage. Bikes on these trains are free.Most stations have lifts but often you will have to wait for use. If you only have a 15min connection then you may need to carry your bikes up and down stairs to get to right platform in time.

If you buy your rail ticket at the counter all your journey will be written down with platform numbers and times.
