It was April 1st when my dear other half decided to see what happens when you slam your brakes on hard on a large e-bike.The result is a tangled mess trapped in an e-bike.We had discussed coffee, so the mind was clearly elsewhere. One broken hip socket, fractured ribs, pelvis plus grazes meant our prospective trip through France was cancelled.12 weeks of recovery and the pelvis was still causing a lot of pain.

Further ct scans showed hernias both sides of Tims abdomen one even had bowel protruding through it, surgery was required and another 6 weeks recovery.After all this Tim’s left knee continued to cause pain, this poor knee had been rammed into the ground on a parachute jump, then rammed into a car door in a motorbike accident and now hurled into the road with the weight of an e-bike on top of it. Partial knee replacements were being discussed, Tim decided the lesser action of a cortisone injection. Would we ever ride through Europe again?
